Bonnet (Absorbent Pad) Method
The rotary bonnet method uses an absorbent spin pad attached to remove the soil. The spin pad absorbs soil onto the pad. To reduce pile distortion, keep the absorbent pad well lubricated with cleaning solution. Replace pad often to prevent transfer of soil back to the carpet face. Advantage is fast dry, disadvantages are carpet abrasion and low quality cleaning result
Dry Cleaning Method
An absorbent compound saturated with detergents and solvents is brushed in. The compound attaches to the soil particles, and both the soil and compound are then removed by vacuuming. The advantage is carpet is never wet, disadvantage is no thorough cleaning.
Dry Foam Extraction Method
A detergent solution is whipped into foam and applied to the carpet, then followed by wet vacuuming. Advantage is fast dry, disadvantage is poor cleaning result
Hot Water Cleaning Method (adopted by us)
Also called “steam cleaning.” Traffic areas are preconditioned to suspend ground-in soil, then a pressurized cleaning solution is injected into the pile. Suspended soil and solution are immediately extracted. Advantage is good cleaning result, disadvantage is 2 to 4 hours drying time. Truck mounted machine is much powerful than the commercial portable machine, but some of its water pressure and heat are lost in its long hose. So the performance of two kinds of machines are almost the same.
Q2: How to take red stain out of carpet?
Buy a bottle of “RED OUT” from your local carpet cleaning supply store (you can easily find a store from yellow book), then:
1. Apply product generously.
2. Agitate with scraper.
3. Place wet terry towel over stain.
4. Apply steam iron to towel moving in orbital pattern to even steam application.
5. Extract with hot water.
Q3: How to take wax out of carpet?
1 Take off the top wax with a blunt knife.
2. Cover waxed carpet with several layers of white towel paper.
3.Apply steam iron to paper moving in orbital pattern to even heat application.
3. Change paper and repeat the above process till the wax is gone
